Practical Effects of Integrating Temperature with Strang Split Reactions

چکیده

Abstract Many astrophysical environments involve convective or explosive flows driven by thermonuclear reactions (Type Ia supernovae, classical novae, X-ray bursts, stellar evolution). Simulation codes need to accurately capture the interactions between and hydrodynamics produce realistic models of these events. For reacting flows, operator splitting is commonly used couple reactions. Each process operates independent one another, but staggering updates in a symmetric fashion (via Strang splitting) second order accuracy time can be achieved. However, approximations are often made system, including choice whether not integrate temperature with species. Here we demonstrate through simple convergence test that integrating an energy equation together achieves best when modeling reactive splitting. Additionally, cannot achieved without equation.

The TCP Split Handshake: Practical Effects on Modern Network Equipment

Many network engineers might presume that the TCP three way handshake is the one, inviolate method of establishing TCP connections. A smaller percentage of engineers are also familiar with the little-used "simultaneous-open" connection method of establishing TCP connections. Researchers have discovered a third means to initiate TCP sessions, dubbed the "split-handshake" method, which blends fea...

Avoiding order reduction when integrating nonlinear Schrödinger equation with Strang method

In this paper a technique is suggested to avoid order reduction when using Strang method to integrate nonlinear Schrödinger equation subject to time-dependent Dirichlet boundary conditions. The computational cost of this technique is negligible compared to that of the method itself, at least when the timestepsize is fixed. Moreover, a thorough error analysis is given as well as a modification o...

Mechanism Discrimination for Bimolecular Reactions: Revisited with a Practical Hydrogenation Case Study

The governing mechanism of surface reactions is a fundamental concern in heterogeneous catalysis. The Langmuir–Hinshelwood (LH) mechanism is widely accepted to control the surface reactions in many catalytic systems. This contribution derives and compares several important surface rate equations to evaluate their quality of fitting to the experimental data collected for a vapor-phase hydrogenat...

The Practical Needs of Integrating

The primary goal of tracking scope, cost, and time throughout the construction process is to facilitate the early detection of problem activities that are running over budget or falling behind scheduled progress. Current practice tracks this information using separate processes, which leads to inconsistencies between the information and inaccuracies when determining the cost and schedule status...
